Bio
Q:When did you start skating? Did you start with Street/park or straight to longboarding?
A:Started skating around 4-5 years old. My older brother had a mini ramp in the front yard and got me on that. Started DH in grade 8.
Q:How did you find out about longboarding? How did you find out about downhill?
A:Kids at my school would do flat land slides in the tennis courts and cruise around. They eventually would lend me a board to skate hills on and eventually took me to skate parkades.
Q:What do you do to afford the silly skateboard thing? (What’s your day job?)
A:Bicycle mechanic. Wouldn't say it lets me afford skating cuz without sponsors It'd be EXTREMELY hard to do this, but it's what I do.
Q:Favorite skate spot?
A:Anywhere in West Vancouver or the wok in Flatspot
Q:Favorite feeling on a skateboard (Sliding? Going Fast? Pack Runs? Type of slide etc.)
A:Taking a fast corner just right with others in close proximity or a gigantic blunt slide.
Q:Influences? (Who do you fan over) or who was your mentor?
A:Cullen Arbuckle, Team Pizza, and Les Robertson have been great skate mentors.
Q:Interests outside of longboarding? What got you into it? What keeps you interested? Any specific fandoms you're into?
A:Been really into mountain biking and resto mods on old mountain bikes lately. Also super into aqua scaping, fish keeping, and fishing. Love me some fish.
Q:Deserted island setup?
A:At the moment it would have to be the blunt 35 with Indy 169s and orange/yellow swirl ez hawgs
Q:Current favorite setup?
A:DH- hoopty R with chopped 140 Paris savants, 50°front/22° rear pnl plate, riptide pivot cups (very important), purple Powell kevos or pink 70s hawgs, and the Apex toe tickler foot stop.
Techslide/streetskate- blunt 33, indy159s with a ⅛” riser, spitfire formula 4 58mm classic shape.
Q:Favorite Event? Of all time? Ongoing?
A:Giants Head freeride
Q:Walk out song? (pump up song?)
A:🤷🏼♀️I dunno. Most fast rock or metal is good for me.

A:Love Seymour mountain so many different things and cool spots there. My usual go to for getting away from the city on my bike.
Q:Places you want to go? Why?
A:Want to go to Norway because my family is from there, and I would like to travel more of North America. Appalachia would be cool to see. I love being outdoors so anywhere not super populated. Majorly untouched landscapes are appealing to me.
Q:Goofy or Regular? What do you think it says about you?
A:Goofy as is my personality
Q:What keeps you coming back to skating?
A:A sense of freedom and focus. Being on my board makes life's problems seem pretty small.
Q:Favorite skate video?
A:I don't actually watch a lot of skate videos anymore. Would rather be making them.
Q:Outgoing at events or keep to yourself?

Bio
Q:When did you start skating?
A:Started skating in 2010, purchased my first complete from Zumiez on Decmber 27th, just after christmas.
Q:Did you start with Street/park or straight to longboarding?
A:I went headlong into longboarding, I lived in monterey when I started which is built on one big hill. My siblings and I would all ride to the beach and hike back up the hill home. Pretty soon we found videos of people sliding and were instantly carried away.
Q:How did you find out about longboarding and downhill?
A:My brother got a longboard from a friend to cruise on and I wanted to be cool like him so I bought my own. Pretty quick I found some otang videos and I think dem purps had just come out or let go, but ya realized you could downhill and found race videos pretty quick. Late 2011 I decided to start training for a race and found Bonelli 2012 approachable for a first race.
Q:What do you do to afford the silly skateboard thing? (What’s your day job?)
A: I currently work a remote IT support Job, not the best work, but it's good money and lets me travel. I also run Earthwing and get the perks of that, event reg and some travel is covered by the business, but I dont ever make money from EW just a couple discounts.
Q: Favorite skate spot?
A: Ooof uhhh Tepe is the home hill so thats kinda the old reliable. Catalina was sick, super flowy. umm Theres this spot in Iceland I did 70 mph, that was crazy. Let's say those for now.
Q:Favorite feeling on a skateboard (Sliding? Going Fast? Pack Runs? Type of slide etc.)
A: Favorite feeling is probably just a flowy track, something where it's all automatic. Slides are tight and you can just stay low. I'm definitly flow over fear, dont really enjoy the adrenaline anymore.
Q:Influences? (Who do you fan over) or who was your mentor?
A:2010-11 otang team were the first dudes I watched on youtube, Krimes, James Kelly, Louis, Kyle Chin, Adam Colton, pswiss. Uhh in person, I followed Team Van around a lot lol Max, Key, Jimmy, AJ, Ryan, Tim Del. Ya those dudes gave me the time of day when it mattered, not sure why haha especially AJ and Max.
Q:Interests outside of longboarding?
A: Lately got into car stuff, been tracking my GRC. I'm a designer and like to fuss around in CAD. Always played video games since I was little so I definitly enjoy some couch time. Really enjoy music and film. Love Lord of the Rings and world building/holistic storytelling. I attempt to play music but uhh struggle to stay dedicated haha. out doorsy stuff with wifey, she keeps me active outside, camping and hikes and stuff - I enjoy it once I'm out the door, I'm just lazy if it's not skating haha hrm dabble in philospophy, I'm a very existential person and a thinker, I can ponder for hours, not sure if that's an intrest but uhh philosophy is cool.
Q: What keeps you interested? Any specific fandoms you're into?
I just like things that are expressive and creative. Things that connect you to the physical. Mechanical things are cool to me. Phylosophy is like the mechanics of thought. Music is all mood and feel in a mechanical medium, super cool. endless oportunity with that stuff.
Q: Deserted island setup?
A: Uhhhh maybe the 37 SK like the hell camino or NLS 37. 165 trucks, Adam Person RADS, zealous of course. Quiver killer and cozy concave......or a classic Hoopty cause it's open ended and simple.
Q:Favorite Event? Of all time?
A: Whistler, favorite track ever, so fun in the wet. Ongoing? Knox, short and sweet.
Q: Walk out song? (pump up song)?
A: Hrm depends on the day - SOAD has always got something.
Q:Favorite Place you've been? What it means to you?
A: This sport in Iceland, where they filmed the Walter Mitty longboard scene - It's actually probably the most buitiful and overwheleming place I've ever been. I sat and watched the fog roll in and out of the valley for like 2 hours or something. just totally at peace there, so green and waterfalls everywhere you look.
Q:Places you want to go? Why?
A: Japan, curious to explore countryside. New Zealand again, just want to give it more time. South Africa would be sick, Peru/Chile. Sweeden and uhhh lets toss in Aus.
Q:Goofy or Regular?
A:Goofy for sure
Q:What do you think it says about you?
A: Uhhh my body is broken and asymetrical lol wish I could run switch.
Q:What keeps you coming back to skating?
A: Connection and fairly affordable. I get the mechanical flow I like and a huge community whove all become good friends over the years. It's a much cheaper way to enjoy roads.
Q:Favorite skate video?
A: Oof Fav, ummm any old otang video still hits, timebomb is dope. uhhh all of Greener Pastures. Q:Most inspirational skate video?
A:Gotta be Let Go, watches like a dream sequence. Wet Dreams is pretty good too for inspiration.
Q:Outgoing at events or keep to yourself?
A: uhhh I'm a tlaker but will exaust myself socially haha I think Day 1 im social but ready to chill the rest of the time.
Q:Shout out(s)
A: EW Team, 805 Crew, Team Van, Ronin Homies, papa Fred, Jonny Miller (Toyland), and of course Brian Petrie, the giant on whose shoulders I stand - All changed my life.
Q:Favorite Team Meal?
A: Always Tacos
